CHARITY CHOSEN FOR 2026

Community First Responders (CFR’s) are volunteers, who respond to emergency 999 calls for the ambulance service.

We are trained to a nationally recognised level by the ambulance service and deliver basic life support and defibrillation to patients in cardiac arrest. As well as other treatment including oxygen administration for various emergency situations prior to the arrival of the nearest available ambulance resource. Formed in 2010 we have been a Registered Charity since 3rd January 2014 and cover Cannock, Burntwood, Chasetown, Chase Terrace, Norton Canes, Great Wyrley, Cheslyn Hay and surrounding areas. Currently the group consists of: 4 Trustees – Chairperson, Coordinator, Treasurer and IT & Communications Officer. 3 of the Trustees are also Responders, 9 Responders, a Business Liaison Officer and 4 Fundraising volunteers. We are totally reliant on donations and grants together with our own fundraising to keep us on the road. This includes purchasing and maintaining both of our Response Vehicles, buying uniforms and other equipment.
